Azizullah Ahmadi Realism Art Master Painter
Azizullah Ahmadi's paintings reflect the old artists in style. His sketches tend towards what, according to Wikipedia, is known in Realism as "Trompe l'oeil (literally, "fool the eye"), a technique which creates the illusion that the objects depicted actually exist, and is an extreme example of artistic realism." He is known especially for his technique of mixing oil paints with turpentine. When mixed, this gives the appearance of watercolors, creating beautiful fig, light, and shadow. He prefers large, oversized paintings. Especially note-worthy are his paintings of the Buddhas destroyed by the Taliban. His paintings are also available for sale at the Bamyan Fine Art Gallery in Kabul and here.
